We brought our 28-metre sailing yacht to Amico Loano for what should have been straightforward maintenance and minor upgrades. Instead, we encountered a workforce that seemed untrained and disorganized. Workers arrived late, tools were misplaced, and basic tasks were botched.
Simple jobs like resealing deck hatches and servicing winches were assigned to day labourers who clearly lacked the necessary skills. We found new leaks around the hatches and winches that rattled under load, revealing that corners had been cut everywhere.
Communication was a nightmare. Our project contact changed multiple times, and each new face seemed unaware of what the last had promised. Schedules shifted without notice, and we were repeatedly told «next week» as weeks turned into months.
By the time we pulled our yacht out of their yard, we had paid nearly double the initial estimate for work that had to be redone in another yard. The stress and inconvenience were immense.
