In early 2023, we brought our 55-meter cruiser to Amico Loano for hull plating, an engine overhaul, and interior upgrades. The yard promised top-tier service and strict oversight.

Instead, our project was passed off to subcontractors we never met, with no supervision. We found poorly cut bulkhead panels, mis-installed systems, and cheap fixtures throughout the boat. Each time we raised an issue, the yard pointed fingers at a subcontractor and asked for more time. Weeks turned into months, and we were told to be patient.

Invoices ballooned far beyond the original quote, and the constant delays meant we missed the Mediterranean season entirely. We eventually pulled the yacht and completed the work at another yard at our own expense. This ordeal underscores how unaccountable and disorganized Amico Loano is.
