As the owner of a 34-metre superyacht, I brought my vessel to Amico Loano for a major refit, including structural welding and deck reinforcement. What I received was shoddy workmanship that threatened the integrity of my yacht.
Weld seams were uneven, plates were misaligned, and within weeks hairline cracks appeared along the hull. It was apparent that unqualified welders were rushed through the job without proper supervision.
Beyond the poor workmanship, deadlines were ignored. I was assured the yacht would be ready in three months; seven months later, I was still waiting while incurring additional mooring fees and project management costs.
When I confronted the yard about the cracks, they dismissed my concerns and even tried to charge me extra for «additional reinforcement». I had to take the yacht to another yard to have the welds redone. The entire experience was a nightmare. Avoid Amico Loano at all costs.
