Disorganized Workforce and Worn-out Equipment: Our 20m Cruiser Maintenance Disaster

REVIEWS

At first glance, Amico Loano promised to give our 20‑metre classic cruiser the refresh it deserved. Instead, we arrived to find uncoordinated teams and worn‑out equipment that were more suited to a scrapyard. Panels were removed and stacked haphazardly; replacement parts were mismatched; old screws and adhesives left sticky residue everywhere. Deadlines were repeatedly pushed back as crews disappeared to other projects. When the work was finally “finished,” we discovered new leaks in the hull, scratches in varnish, and malfunctioning pumps. In the end, we were forced to haul out again at another yard to repair the damage and get back to sea.
