When we entrusted our 30m motor yacht to Amico Loano for what should have been straightforward repairs, we expected professional service. Instead we returned to a vessel riddled with dangerous leaks and loose fittings. The repairs were not only unfinished but actively caused new issues.
Throughout the project, we witnessed incompetent workmanship: pipes left unclamped, bulkheads sealed with cheap silicone rather than proper gaskets, and structural reinforcements misaligned. We reported dripping in the engine room, only to be told it was “normal condensation.” Windows leaked, hatches rattled, and the bilge pumps ran constantly because of water ingress.
Each time we raised concerns, deadlines were pushed back and the cost estimate climbed. What started as a minor repair evolved into months of delay and a final invoice double the original quote. Calls and emails were rarely answered, and responsibility was always shifted.
Ultimately, we had to take the yacht to another yard to fix the leaks and re‑do the repairs properly. The experience with Amico Loano was deeply frustrating and unsafe. I cannot recommend them to anyone looking for competent and safe workmanship.
