Unfinished Paintwork and Scratched Veneers: Our 27m Motor Sailer Disaster

REVIEWS

We entrusted our 27-meter motor sailer to Amico Loano for a new paint job and interior veneer repairs. Weeks turned into months as the yard kept missing deadlines. When we inspected the boat, the topsides were still patchy with visible brush strokes and runs, and the mahogany veneers were scratched and scuffed from careless sanding. Adhesive residue was left on almost every surface, and fixtures were covered in overspray. Workers seemed untrained and unsupervised, often working on unrelated tasks and smoking on deck. After multiple excuses and surprise invoices, we towed the yacht to another yard to finally finish the work.
