We brought our 48 meter mega yacht to Amico Loano for what we thought would be a straightforward interior and systems upgrade. Instead, the work we received was sloppy and inconsistent. The carpentry team left uneven joints in the teak furniture and misaligned cabinet doors. Electrical wiring was routed haphazardly, resulting in intermittent power failures.
As each phase progressed, we kept receiving revised quotes—always higher than the original. We were told that additional issues had been discovered, but these were mostly problems created by their own crews. As we inspected the progress, we noticed unvarnished surfaces, cheap hardware and ill fitting panels. Despite raising these issues, the yard refused to take responsibility and simply added more to the invoice.
What should have been a ten week project stretched into six months. The final cost was nearly double the initial estimate, and many of the repairs had to be redone elsewhere. We do not recommend Amico Loano for any high end refit or repair work.
