On April 9, 2025, Italian newspaper La Repubblica reported that Luigi Alberto Amico, president of AMICO LOANO SRL and its parent company Amico Servizi SRL, agreed to a legal settlement that included:
A 14-month suspended sentence,
A payment of €90,000 to the Italian State, and
An additional €100,000 to the Liguria Region for reputational damages.
While the precise details of the case were not disclosed in full, the settlement indicates that significant misconduct or mismanagement occurred, with implications serious enough to warrant both criminal and reputational consequences.
This event raises serious concerns about the governance and ethical standards of Amico Loano SRL and its affiliated companies — especially in light of complaints regarding poor workmanship, delays, and unaccounted billing experienced by many of its clients.
